Starting right alongside beautiful Sydney Harbour and Circular Quay at The Rocks, the course will be a flat one lap loop which hugs the Harbour foreshore to ensure spectacular views throughout. The course will travel along Hickson Rd, through Cockle Bay, Darling Harbour, Pyrmont, King Street Wharf, Barangaroo and back into The Rocks to the finish line at the Overseas Passenger Terminal.
The event is perfect for all ages and abilities with three starting waves which are seeded so participants can go at their own pace and give everyone the opportunity to have a go, whilst enjoying the spectacular views.
One of the main attractions of this brand new event is that you will be starting and finishing in one of Australia’s best shopping and eating precincts so after you finish, you and your family or friends can enjoy a leisurely breakfast at one of the many eateries and stroll through the famous The Rocks Markets.
If the dazzling views of the Harbour aren’t motivation enough for you, there will be a DJ out on course to keep your spirits up.
If you are looking for a goal to stay fit and healthy this winter then this stunning course could just be your motivation. Alternatively if you have set yourself the goal of taking part in one of the winter and spring classics then the Suncorp Bank Sydney Harbour 10k is the perfect stepping stone to the those longer distances later in the year.
Participants and supporters will all have the chance to enjoy entertainment on the stage post event.
More than half the course is off road, reducing the impact on residents and keeping traffic changes to a minimum. It also gives friends and family the chance to see and support runners in several areas along the course.
